She may also have been recruited as Cullity may want to stand down as Chairman.. Remember he's only in the position due to Garner wanting to stand down last year as he was taking a step back from RAC.
I imagine the position takes up a lot of Cullity's time and with a lot of stuff happening in the medium term in Australia it may make sense having the Chairman located here as well. Cullity can then step back into his previous role with RAC and get some time back.
