High levels of Thorium are a very significant indicator of the presence of REE deposits nearby.

The maps above show the distribution of Thorium at two locations in Brazil. (K and U are not shown)

Thorium’s minerals have very high Melting Points; they do not disperse as much as U seems to.

IMO the extent of detected Th indicates that the REE deposits in Bahia East might be expected to

be very significant. Too significant to delay claim lodgement.

The claims lodged by BRE, EQN and GMN are mingled together, tho’ BRE seems to have claimed

the higher ground with higher levels of Thorium. (see BRE Drill Holes at Monte Alto -13.34637,-39.62139 )

The chart above shows that each explorer has a different exploration strategy.

In particular, the lower and flatter claims (consistent with IAC placer deposits) are favoured by EQN and GMN.
