Yesterday’s volume was mostly likely the result of a block purchase…. Someone wanted out, someone wanted in, unfortunately this block sale might have been a bit devious… let’s put out a big headline with rock chip samples, and start the block sale, retailers think volume is announcement related and get sucked in… the block seller gets a higher price (significantly above market) and the company is happy that the seller doesn’t cause the share price to drift down selling on low volume over a few months… the block buyer is happy because he put his limit order in and wasn’t willing to buy into the hype, yet still got significant amount at market.
And well the retailer bought into the headline and is now holding shares at a premium to the current Share Price… if that’s you…
