Hi Metal, your post and the ongoing contention about why LEG is not aggressively drilling the most prospective zone in the NE has had me thinking long and hard. One plausible reason is that LEG is intentionally delaying DDrilling of the most crucial area and (hopefully) the "BIG NEWS" because the two companies immediately south of Mawson have drilling and EM results pending.
As a holder of the two companies to the south, I have witnessed upward SP action in them when LEG announces good results. We all know that Creasy and IGO are major SH in stocks throughout the Fraser Range. Creasy is the driver behind everything happening in the region despite having to relinquish tenements due to govt regulations re land banking. Now, both Creasy and IGO are major SH in one of those companies, and IGO in both. IGO has already stumped up funds as an investor in those two companies recently. Both stocks have low Mkt Caps and whilst cashed-up for a few drilling campaigns, but will be needing more before the year is up.
So, does Creasy and IGO want the other two companies jumping in value on LEG's success? They would, afterall, be getting fewer shares in those companies when it comes time to fund them again. So, my guess is that its an orchestrated game of timing. And, as a holder of the two stocks, the wait for results is painful. I don't have the same anxiety with LEG because its all but confirmed for me that Mawson is a "hit". Mind you, the "writing is on the wall" with the other two as well... same mafic/unltramafic host rock and EM anomalies as LEG. But LEG has already confirmed "massive sulphides".
IMO, the whole range is going to explode with discoveries and Creasy/IGO need for the Mkt Caps of the explorers to be contained. Can't see them wanting the same scenario happening with each subsequent deposit and company as the first (Nova/Sirius). These guys need to draw a line in the sand to maximise their financial reward. So, my guess is that Mark Wilson is doing what is best for the ultimate drivers of this well-oiled machine which, we might not like as retail investors at this stage, will ultimately reward all patient SH. Perhaps the nepotism bit doesn't go down too well with some but the way I see it, you can't beat them, so why not join them.
Apologies for the long-winded post... just thinking out aloud and hope that what I have surmised is not just plausible but right. I'm sure there will be the pack of experienced smarties already way ahead on all this stuff with their positions already set in the stocks throughout the FR about to have a giggle to themselves (more so if I am right) which is fine. Bettter to put it out there for some feedback than be forever guessing.
