While in no way a guarantee of certainty, I felt that the CEO's previous experience with Peak mattered a lot. Also the fact that it was just up the road from the current project.
The textbook case of a lousy takeover to me is Allied Gold where the company's PNG mine managed to squeak out one good quarter of production just before the takeover by SBM before everything fell apart. I think there's a reasonable chance that won't happen here.
