No I am not an Aussie, I am Dutch. I have worked more than 25 years in the investing-industry . Allways with big instos. In my last job I was CIO of the no. 6 pension fund in the Netherlands. I like the gold industry because I smell trouble ahead with all the political uncertainties together with the unsustainable debt levels in the world. Not so much my own country but more Italy, France, The US and many more countries. Gold is a wealth preservation asset in my eyes. In every portfolio there must be some room for gold and/or miners. The time path on which the trouble will surface is the most difficult part of my story. Cental bankers have very long breaths. But the nice part of everything is that also with the current POG the miners have margins other companies can only dream off.
