No, I don't see how the statements about the future are misleading. Go to any number of equities and you will see that companies big and small predict "expectations". It's part of business but particularly with regard to start ups.
Did those expectations get fulfilled. Clearly no, however that is part of the deal in this end of town ie Speculative
