The vision Systems is still a patented asset that may be implemented in future models to be sold into the network and has uses in all sorts of industries. These were both created my IOT's R & D team. I have seen many more dubious R & D claims paid out in all sorts of industries. I believe the R & D is just a formality or they wouldn't have mentioned itIMO
Re the IOT subsidiary i think this is much more beneficial than paying the sales crew a commission. Either way you are paying out before IOT get $ and those guys are doing an incredible job opening accounts and creating a distribution network that very few groups n the world could do. They deserve to get rewarded and better they get incentivised to be profitable than get paid a commission on any sale no matter how profitable. Options and the Subsidiary structure mean that both groups are completely aligned. ie profit and share price

You say patented asset? Where is the substantiated info for that? They claimed to have interest in the facial recognition, but no update in last 6 mths. IP Australia still shows filed, not granted, so that is not correct. And 2 of the inventors of number 7 has left the company....
