Used to think the same way in regards Metrics especially around the time we hit .19 sure some US Pharma would take us over if only to get hold of US Metrics / complex which we redeveloped and expanded at a cost exceeding 156M Aust. dollars and sell off most everything else they would inherit with a takeover . Unfortunately didn't happen that way , Richards came up with his "game changer ", costing us a huge amount money and gave away good percentage of company ( shares ) to enable us to buy 20 year lease agreement , this high risk undertaking for something we couldn't afford opened the door for Catalent Pharma to get hold of a prized asset we owned in the States and spent over150 M redeveloping about 5 years ago . Catalent managed avoid getting stuck with 20 year lease commitment and everything else they would have inherited by taking us over such as cutting ties with ASX , Maynes involvement collusion with other drug companies in the US , Aust shareholder class action suit , etc. etc. Low market Cap and very impressive Major US Metrics / Complex was obvious incentive for some US Pharma to take us over for an obviously outstanding asset we owned , unfortunately Richards painted us into a corner by taking on something we couldn't afford Nexstellis , the only way we could afford this added burden and support it was by selling Metrics an outstanding asset that could only keep increasing in value . This had nothing to do with unlocking value and all the other bull , the market knows that hence drop in share value . Nexstellis cost us Metrics . This is what Catalent had to say about what we sold them , check it out on the internet . " Catalent to acquire Metrics contract services for $475 M - C&EN " This sale wiped out 12years of real asset growth .
