Exactly. Any special dividend is going to be effectively “deducted” from the SP the very moment the market opens the day after record date. There’s barely an example anywhere in the current environment that contradicts this pattern, and in any event this company hardly has a reputation for holding gains anyway. Shareholders all think they’ll be the fastest one to beat mister market, but no.
The majority wanting this will imo be day traders: to pump the price in the build up to record date and then jump fast in the closing moments the night before, and not actually hold themselves thru record and inevitable dump to follow. Would love to be proved wrong with MYX as the exception but not exactly counting on it.
