Clearly they can’t get suitable finance terms for their latest rash purchase. Debt funders would’ve been looking at the massive goodwill write down required post-Metrics sale, the history of bad choices made, Nextstellis underperformance, and the (some would say) speculative product portfolio left. So once again, shareholder value creation is delayed and/or holders are left to carry the can. Not a great start by the refreshed board, new chairman and new management to rebuild shareholder trust and confidence at what should’ve been a critical turning point.
