They would report a net pay figure of 'Free gas' in the reservoirs if this indeed was the case. Its definitely just water/fluid that they are pulling in their samples at the moment and not a combination of gas and water. Somebody in a previous post has probably described it best in a more extreme case like a carbonated drink. If you run this through the mud logs to surface you would see some bubbling as the helium escapes this water under pressure at surface. The samples they currently retrieved are the best measurements for gas and water and at the moment they seem to only be retreiving water with exsolved gas. The last youtube video very much confirms this with talks of experimental methods of extraction with uni of queensland. The two types he was talking about in the video is the helium gas cap that potentially is a free gas area source that could be extracted conventionally but the trap area will be small compared to what their models had indicated had they found the sand resivours containing water and gas. The HE1 guys are correct the samples they have currently retrieved are very similar to the ones that HE1 have retrieved the only difference is there a potential free gas column at the crest but NHE does not have the sample data to confirm this from the first well due to hole conditions.
