It's pretty obvious that someone negotiating with CLA on a deal would want the SP held down, until a deal is sealed anyway. Quite a low act in my book, but far too common for small caps to be held to ransom imo.
Maybe cla would be better off spreading the risk across multiple parties and remove the incentive to be manipulated. This may create competition for suitors to put their best foot forward, instead of their boot on our neck.
