Agreed Obi. Energy Metals is the historical successful precedent you reference. At time of that divestment the JRL( as JLL was then) share price rose multiples in anticipation of a JRL fully franked dividend. The result was a windfall 55c ff div.

Lindsay Dudfield the then CEO is still the driving force as Exec Director behind JLL and has been on the hunt and nurturing McDermitt for close to 2 decades.

One can only guess the comparable outcome from the quite different deal ahead and its timing. A factor to consider is the potential LD would wish to see it through during his active role in the company to then enjoy a happy retirement; LD holds a ~24% stake in JLL.

Issued shares of <80m assumed at the expected div or other means of capital return could be guessed at $75 ps.

My guess is the present JLL momentum on all fronts overrides the low lithium price and should bring forward the divestment deal at a premium to within 1-3 years with a strategic partner secured sooner than later.
