I agree on the point 3) you make. It's true for so many companies that are raising capital. You give me $1 and I give you $0.1 and a share now worth 90%. It just doesn't make sense, it'd be simpler to forgo the dividend and make a smaller raising (less fees this way). But I guess you need to balance that with people who have bought the stock as a semi-annual income source.
