The delay in the delivery of the hand sanitiser was terrible and the supplier was openly blamed by MCP.
Was the supplier Aware Group?
If you own a stable of brands and do not own your own manufacturing facilities, you are reliant on using contract manufacturers like Aware Group.
Since MCP had invested in Aware, you would think that they would want to give them as much work as possible. I think MCP should disclose who the supplier of the late shipment of hand sanitiser was.
If it was Aware, then that is simply terrible, especially given MCP’s equity position in Aware.
Also, if MCP use multiple contract manufacturers to manufacture their formulations, their other manufacturers may not be happy with MCP taking a share holding in their competition (Aware). Hard to be succesful without the support of your suppliers.
