Why, because the (seemingly sucking in and beneficial) party has no investment in making the agreement work unless they have skin in the game.
Do people here really think MCP is so incredibly dumb they would do such a deal if it wasn't in their own best interest. Do people throwing these ideas around actually have any experience in this type of synergistic deal making.
If that's what they think and if they are still holding stock they need to ask themselves some serious questions.

I'm genuinely curious in your thoughts of this deal being synergistic. I'm always up for learning.

I've just been briefly keeping tabs on this company so wouldn't say I have any in depth knowledge except just jaw dropping when I saw this deal announcement being released.

As for skin in the game, the measly $10m equity is chump change compared to the possible $5b valuation of CW. Wouldn't put a dent in, even if the whole strategy fails.
