    All very quiet on MCP comments for some time now.

    Well, with the 1st half results due out soon I am more pessimistic than previously about their profitability. To my mind they are going to have a big hit from the falling AUD. Their hedging policy (to cover next 8mths payables) will help ease the pain in these results, but the impact going forward is going to really hurt. Probably to the tune of around $5mio for the 2nd half. Their ability to pass on this cost in the current retail market environment is minimal
