The issue here (IMO) is that all the growth eggs were placed in the China market. Many other Australian companies are also guilty of this... such as Treasury Wines. The reasons for why both companies are experiencing problems in China are different but both companies relied on one market / country to deliver the majority of their profits. Australian sales are OK but I am guessing a small percentage of total sales.
With political / trade tensions set to increase between Australia and China, I think MCP has more downside than upside in the current climate.
