The billion dollars is just to build the mine. Think about all the money RRL have spent so far on McPhilly's and will continue to spend on it before 2026. Yet juniors are on sale now, it's simply cheaper to buy a miner than build a mine and continue to expand the resources at Duketon. True inflation not the BS cpi we are given probably means the cost of construction is even going to be higher. I agree with Isladar to spend money on the underground mines before even looking at McPhilly's as everything seems to hang on something that hasn't even had construction start yet. I still think the released information was to dress up RRL for a merger with GOR.

Buying a junior miner isn't as easy as you think. They have to be willing to sell, which means you need to be offering a large premium.
