No, not typically. If you used history you probably wouldn't have invested in Apple at one stage. Most successful companies go through many highs and lows before achieving the ultimate prize. These are speculative stocks. You decide whether you believe in what they are trying to achieve and base your speculative investment on that basis.
Company performance can't change that quick.
Certainly can particularly in the speculative arena. Revenues are low. Any significant single contract can quickly change the performance of the company.
