You are joking right?! If you have made a bad decision why would you stick with it?? That is the exact opposite of what a board is supposed to do. Since when did sticking with a bad decision ever make it a good decision, ever?
I would say that only 3.9% down on a CEO being ousted after 18 months in the position is a pretty bloody good result - I think the market in general applauded the board today for their tough decision. The board have made a mistake or two of late, and I'm sure they have learnt from it. Thats what makes a stronger board.
Success comes from making good decisions. Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from making bad decisions.
