It is very tricky to determine whether this is good news from the info we have and even trickier to determine the effect on SP. On the one hand this is clearly bad news ... a CEO should not be leaving the company after such a short period of time (and a short period of time full of negative press regarding her commitment to the company). On the other hand, imo Jayne was never viewed to be the ideal CEO so with her gone now, the bad egg is gone from our company. There will definitely be a short term SP loss but the market may like the fact that we will probably get a better CEO now. Leon Levy was a troll but he was right that if the CEO was different (imagine a young and hungry Babbage or similar), the SP would be much higher. Having Geoff available to take the helm has helped... who knows, the market might be happier with him being an interim CEO than they were with Jayne being a permanent CEO. One other positive is that the board has learnt from their hire of Jayne. Now they know not to reward new CEO with time based shares to compensate salary and not to hire someone who is working 2 jobs.
