Unfortunately this doesn't seem to matter in the current political zeitgeist where 'climate catastrophism' rules.
The ludicrous attack on the evils of gas are only exceed by the preposterous demonisation of nuclear power .... you know, that proven technology thats being adopted increasingly around the world for long term energy security and reducing carbon emissions .... the US senate just passed a major pro-nuclear bill by 88 to 2 margin.
Reminder - the IOUSA is the worlds biggest emitter of carbon, is the largest producer of oil & gas, and has the largest nuclear power fleet in the world (both domestic for electricity, and military - all their aircraft carriers are nuclear powered and most of their submarine fleet ... for over 50 yrs).
To ridicule the establishment of proven nuclear design and construction at old power stations with their preexisting connection to the grid is beyond stupid - it's the modern equivalent of Luddites ..... such rigid religiosity helps explain the political improbability of Dutton now being preferred PM ... LOL !
Besides the inconvenient problem of (natural) Labor supporters being hurt by "high energy prices" and "looming blackouts", there seems to be no concern for the jobs associated with the industrial uses of gas for fertiliser and chemical etc ????
Meanwhile 'Balmain basket weavers' and armchair socialists are off to France for the Olympics and the Greek Isles, blissfully passing by many nuclear power plants on their travels, unfazed by the architecture or their effect on the river or oceans they depend on for cooling, and unfazed about the (non) threat of nuclear radiation on the vineyards of famous wines ..... while Germany has massively increased coal burning to compensate for closing down fully functional low carbon emitting nuclear power plants, and the loss of cheap Russian gas imports .... Hypocrisy Headquarters !
Reminder: the carbon foot print of a return flight to London equals the annual carbon footprint of the average Aussie family .... " oh really ?? "
