PS - how does it make sense to spend A$368B (conservatively) on nuclear subs but balk at spending A$6-10B per nuclear power plants that will last 60-80yrs, utilising current coal fired power stations, and having by far the safest and lowest carbon emissions long term ?? PS Solar panels are never recycled and last between 10 and 20yrs .... ditto Wind Mills which are NEVER RECYCLED but left in place forever !! PS where are all these "pumped hydro" going to be placed ? The Snowy 2 is a complete shambles and its cosy has more than doubled to A$6B+ ?? PS where's all the power lines going to be sited, and how much bush will have to be cleared, and kept cleared, and where's all that copper coming from, and whose going to maintain them so they don't start bushfires as in California where the power company is being sued for billions because their powerlines started bush fires ?? Never let practical realities get in the way of wishful thinking, pipe dreaming and "sacred sites" proliferation.
