This announcement pretty much confirms that with UCG application partners for Mongolia and WA, Kingaroy could well be overtaken for UCG commercialisation line honours.

This will be clear enough to the Qld Govt.

The pressure is now off Cougar management to some degree in that funding the Kingaroy power station themselves may no longer be necessary.

There is a chance that this is where/how the Direct Invest connection may manifest in Australia imo.

In any case, investment community and the Qld Govt can now be aware of Cougar's determination to commercialise.
