MD expects 22% of Australia's electricity to be resourced from geothermal by 2050.

Reading between the lines I get the impression that the Company is now aiming to produce electricity by the quickest possible means ie gas and/or wind by 2016 and to add the geothermal to the mix later.

Though it's frustrating for those of us who are keen to see geothermal take off as a power resource, it probably makes more sense (given the current economic climate) to start producing electricity and therefore income by more tried and tested methods.
