Is that like 10CC song ( don't fall in love) There is time to fall out of love with non performing shares that may never come back but as a tax loss they are 100% loss against gains so they actually get your money back.
I have had to clear the books and say good bye and take the remains and put it to better use on other occasions. It sits as a write down against gains so no issue unless you have no gains that is.
