To get a feel for how long commissioning may take I'm half way through a control system upgrade at a coal fired 365MW generator.
Removal and fitout of the new DCS 4 weeks (should already be done here)
Point to point device checks 3-4 weeks
Response, trip, run back tuning and testing around 3 weeks before placed under market control with further situational testing for a month or so.
Much more complex plant but existing brown field site.
