Agree with all your points, especially your final comments. MDR have an Advisory Board Member, Nick England, who used to be an Exec from Boots UK. I also believe they have this chain in their crosshairs.

With yesterday's announcement of EBOS holding 14% I also see, with continued success and interlock with EBOS services, a possible takeover opportunity for them. If they do it soon they get it cheap(er). If they wait for more industry support the market cap will be larger. Cheap might be 10c or ~$100M MC. Waiting for the longer term could see a much larger buy price.
With founders and Management holding such a large piece of the pie I wonder if they have a target price in mind? Perhaps it's a 20c share price?
Not much of a sell off today, which is good.
