Well Steve I am a retired community pharmacist and use the MedAdvisor App most weeks to manage both mine and my wife's medications. Simple to use. Reminders given when supplies are estimated to be running low. We place our order to the pharmacy at our local shopping centre and it's ready to collect at our convenience (no waiting). Can preorder OTC etc as well.The earlier apps that were used for pharmacists to communicate with patients by simple SMS were pretty basic. MedAdvisor took it to a new level and in my opinion is a brilliant aid to safe medication management. Of course many of our elderly still are not using smart apps or even don't have a mobile. Over time more and more will start using it. I am surprised that it is not promoted enough although initially there was some TV advertising. I think there is still a lot of potential for the App and in the future I can see it being a target by one of the larger Medical software companies. At present doctor prescribing software incorporated into practice management platforms also communicates with pharmacy dispensing software via third party platforms. Seems to me that is one unnecessary company involved. It will be interesting to see what happens within the pharmacy / medical software space with the recent acquisition of Corum's software platform by the huge global player Jonas software. Vertical integration of industry segments is their strongest attributes. Read up about Jonas. Will MedAdvisor be in their sights?
