It doesn't make sense, does it?
If its now .7 of a cent and there was a 1:10 consolidation the shares then should be 7 cents, but it never works out that way. I'm not a clinical psychologist but the market seems to perceive them as going from cheap to expensive.
A not insubstantial number of traders/investors seem to pay little or no attention to market cap. The market cap should stay the same during a consolidation or a split. but it never does.
With 2½ billion shares on issue a consolidation is inevitable eventually, but right now the potential for big percentage gains would be diminished.
At the moment, shares are increasing (or decreasing I should point out) by .1 which is significantly more than 10% each time. With a consolidation of, say, 1:10, that .1 of a cent would be less than 2% so suddenly, with these tiny new steps, it all slows down.
When big pharma pays us big cash they can consolidate as much as they want
