I stumbled across an article on the Ascalon aircraft which stated that Churchill’s maiden voyage on Ascalon was on 28 May 1943. That’s the same date we started our maiden drilling programme at Ascalon (we collared the first drill hole on 27 May and started drilling on 28 May). Hopefully, it’s a good omen. See link below:

As regards newsflow during the RC drilling programme, we will just need to see how the drilling evolves. If we see visible gold in the RC chips, we will probably announce that straight away. The absence of any visible gold does not, of course, mean that there is no gold. Visible gold is rare, and we could still be intersecting high grade gold without any visual identification.

We will be sending drill samples to the lab in batches – typically once a week. Standard turnaround from the lab is 4 weeks. The lab we are using is quite busy at the moment – its being used by many gold explorers in WA – so we need to be fair and wait our turn. We could request express assaying for some samples, but not all.

There is no way of knowing what grade of gold we have intersected until we receive assays. Fortunately, we have plenty of work to do and that helps ease the anxiety of waiting.

We will issue news as soon as possible, but we don’t want to jump the gun.

    Thanks for your support.

    Regards

    John
