Novavax is now aiming to be a world leader for booster shots. While it has not yet received approvals for its main vaccine, it is already working on a new combined COVID-19 and influenza shot that could be rolled out worldwide for annual use.

Australia has already been key to Novavax’s development of its standalone COVID-19 vaccine, with an ongoing US-Australian study applying the initial two doses to local volunteers and then giving certain participants boosters.

My money is on Novavax being the vaccine for IDT with the mRNA locally produced vaccine playing out in the background as that phase 1 trial will begin November and run to at least mid 2022
