I remember you buying in quite well because the discussion about the leap in SDI volume that day was one of the very first threads I read on HotCopper. (Unfortunately it wasn't until the price was somewhat higher that I became a shareholder - I chased them up. A lesson it is self). It did peak my interest in SDI though and it has been a fascinating and very educational ride since then. A company of this size has provided a wonderful platform for learning. It is possible to search through the entrails and analysis the whys and why nots. A LOT easier than it is with a company say the size of CSL for example. I suggest to anyone looking to learn about investing that they delve back to 2012 on this thread and start reading. A real world education in real time - for free. Like all threads on HotCopper there is a bit of chaff to sort through but the SDI thread is a fairly clean educational resource in comparison to many. Thanks. My area of expertise couldn't really be further from finance and share market investing so I rarely have had many useful comments to add. As a result - I truely appreciate those who have and do post them.
