Very different use case though. Facebook and instagram work on the premise that users are glued to the screen, scrolling through content for hours, which enables them to serve contextual and relevant advertising.
I doubt there is anyone scrolling through Life360 hours on end, so the opportunity to serve up ads is significantly reduced. Yes, a banner here or there will be possible.
