What a joke in determining market sensitivity of an announcement. Under Listing Rule 3.1, the information in an announcement is considered market sensitive if "a reasonable person would expect the information to have a material effect on the price or value of the entity's securities". I note a company called Immutep made an announcement yesterday simply stating a new research program and it was marked 'market sensitive'. Compare this to Clinuvel which stated the actual commencement (during a pandemic also) of a trial into STROKE which affects 15 Million people annually, about 80% of whom are currently untreated and CUV hope to treat these people. That must be market sensitive. The implications of a successful trial is a Blockbuster drug making over $1Billion in revenue and that from a company not worth much more than $1Billion - and the drug is already FDA, EMA, TGA approved and proven very safe.
