It appears that Austal have not made any previous announcement because contracts have not been completed. Probably a good negotiation tactic on behalf of the Philippines Government with the news now being public. Austal will be under a bit of pressure to make whatever final concessions and ink the deal.
Six patrol vessels is good business and this is good news.
