Let me make it clear, I am not an anti Lynas or hold share in Lynas
I don’t think Lynas has any wrong doing in terms of operating the plant or obtaining all the licenses. The issue which most Lynas supporter here don’t see clear is that - the word economically benefit to the people of Malaysia vs radioactive waste generated !. It is a bit like the royal commission which some of the fraud or misconduct found was represent a very tiny percentage. Another thing is that Would you take money if I dump the radioactive waste in your backyard ? This is interpreted as arrogant “ money talk and bullshit walk”. Previous government very stubborn and of course the former MP of Bentong did not listen and thus he was voted down this year!! The message is clear , whether you accept it or not. Malaysia is not an extremely poor country and they can afford not having the economically benefit and let Lynas go.
