I am struggling to find an apt description for this review process. I wouldn't consider this a formal parliamentary enquiry because the setting up of the committee has been conducted privately outside of parliament with committee members names and qualifications unknown. Normally a formal parliamentary enquiry would be discussed and formed transparently in parliament.
There hasn't been an official announcement from the Dewan Rakyat or Lynas about a parliamentary committee being formed so it appears at this stage its nothing more than an informal review being conducted by the anti Lynas groups. Should make for some interesting times ahead.
