Trials cannot be skipped; however patients can apply for early access through schemes & trials. For Australia, I don't foresee any medical mj that isn't TGA approved being sold. You won't be able to roll-on down to a dispensary like the US and buy buds. The stuff we'll get will be GMP/Pharma grade oils, liquids etc.
Recreational pot will NOT happen in Australia anytime soon that is for sure.
