MEETING: FRE: Closing Date for Director Nominations

Freightways Limited intends to hold its next Annual Meeting of Shareholders
on Thursday 25 October 2012.  Further details will be advised in the Notice
of Meeting.

For the purposes of NZX Listing Rule 3.3.5, Freightways Limited advises that
the closing date for director nominations is Thursday 11 October 2012. All
nominations must be received by 4pm on that date.

Nominations may only be made by a shareholder entitled to attend and vote at
the Annual Meeting.
