Meridian Energy Limited advises that it intends to hold its next annual
meeting of shareholders on Friday 6 November 2015. Formal confirmation and
further details will be provided in the Notice of Meeting.

The closing date for director nominations for the annual meeting is 5.00pm
(New Zealand time) on Wednesday 16 September 2015.

Nominations may only be made by a shareholder entitled to attend and vote at
the annual meeting and may be sent by post to:
