REL: 1321 HRS Mighty River Power Limited (NS)

MEETING: MRP: 2014 Annual Shareholders' Meeting and Director Nominations

Mighty River Power Limited will hold its Annual Shareholders' Meeting at the
Ellerslie Event Centre on Thursday 6 November 2014. The time and other
details relating to the meeting will be advised in the Notice of Meeting to
be sent to all shareholders.

For the purposes of NZX Listing Rule 3.3.5 and ASX Listing Rule 14.3, the
closing date for director nominations is 16 September 2014.  All nominations
must be received by 5.00pm on the closing date. Nominations may be made only
by a security holder entitled to attend and vote at the Annual Shareholders'
Meeting.
