94th Annual General Meeting
The 94th Annual Meeting of T&G Global Limited was held at the Ellerslie Event
Centre today in Auckland, commencing at 2:00pm.
Prof. Klaus Josef Lutz chaired the meeting of approximately 80 shareholders,
senior employees and invited guests.
Shareholders at the meeting RESOLVED THAT:
o Prof. Klaus Josef Lutz be reappointed as a Director of T&G Global Ltd;
o Mr John Wilson be reappointed as a Director of T&G Global Ltd;
o Mr Michael Dossor be reappointed as a Director of T&G Global Ltd;
o Under Section 200 of the Companies Act 1993 the reappointment of Deloitte
as auditor is confirmed, and that the Directors are authorised to fix the
fees and expenses of the auditor for the ensuing year.
Addresses were made by the company's Deputy Chairman Sir John Anderson and
the CEO Alastair Hulbert.
The Deputy Chairman provided a summary of the Company's 2014 financial
performance, and outlined major trends in the horticulture industry and the
Company's role in providing fresh produce globally.
CEO Alastair Hulbert presented an update on how the Company was progressing
with the Company's new Corporate Strategy, and summarised highlights of the
past year. These highlights included:
o The completion of the purchase of Apollo Apples Ltd;
o Continued improvement in grower returns in 2014 for the major apple
varieties, particularly proprietary varieties Jazz TM and ENVY TM;
o Further investment in the Covered Crops category, via the purchase of two
major glasshouse operations Rianto and Great Lakes;
o Development of a sales office in China;
o Continued investment in rootstock for the Company's PVR varieties;
o The T&G rebrand programme;
o The T&G Mindset - redefining the values of the organisation.
The meeting concluded following a presentation to Director Michael Dossor to
acknowledge his contributions during his fifty year association with the
Company.
