In my mind, the most frightening aspect of China possibly winning the semiconductor races is ww3.
if China no longer needs TSMC to supply it, then nothing will hold it back from hitting Taiwan, which pulls USA into armed conflict.
that won’t be good for the markets.
TLDR. the Chinese advances impact much much more than 4DS, so more or less irrelevant to us alone. Just my 3cents.
