Hey Daz, I understand your point but it’s moot given 4DS are targeting DRAM-like performance. They have told us they have exceeded their targets, significantly.
Being termed persistent and non-volatile means you have to be able to power off and retain the data. DRAM cannot do this. The energy savings are two-fold: 1. not requiring constant power, and 2. significantly reduced cycling to refresh data. It won’t be too long before we start getting to know the quantum of these benefits.
Oh, and these savings come with an increase in speed.
