    I found it interesting to hear the patents are not locked down to US only, opening the door to others (obviously meaning they want those people to know it's not locked to US only).

    i had already asked a question about risks with being locked to HGST via the licence option. The response included "I suspect there might be multiple acquirers interested if we achieve our goals. Let's wait and see"

    so they are definitely not wanting a one horse race.
