i think youre over estimating the effect a lawsuit has on a major company in the eyes of the public these days.
some companies are in and out of court on a regular basis and still grow year on year lol.
just look at volkswagen. emissions cheaters was one of the biggest scandals of the decade , everyone has forgotten about it .
HGST is but a little tiny plankton compared to them
