The discovery phase happening here is largely revisiting the work done by Khoutam and others during previous platform cycles.
People could save a lot of effort by revisiting high recognition posts leading into each platform cycle.
At the same time, in no way am I discouraging new research. One thing you will notice is that much persistent memory information is quite dated. It's almost like would-be users gave up at the same time Intel abandoned Optane.
My suggestion would be to by all means keep digging, but tend towards more recent publications for the best clues.
